The Strix Portable - CCTV

At last, the solution for the visually impaired! Assistance with reading, writing and distance vision have now been uniquely combined in the STRIX. This groundbreaking device is the first product on the market that offers the benefits of true portability. The STRIX will facilitate a wide range of activities, enhancing the independence of the user. The STRIX is a handheld, fullcolor electronic magnifier with an integrated 7” TFT display and an auto-focus camera. The STRIX will enable the user to carry out a host of everyday tasks: reading newspapers and books, consulting timetables at stations and airports, reading text on consumer products in shops, or participating actively in business meetings and presentations at work. Fully portable, the STRIX can also be connected to the larger screen of a television or a TFT. With an optional stand and x-y table, the STRIX can replace large and bulky auto-focus video magnifiers, a solution desktop home use.

Distance Vision
The unique feature of the STRIX is the help it offers with distance vision. Distant objects can be magnified and viewed easily, bringing countless advantages in many different situations. Be it at school, at work, or socially, STRIX users can actively participate in their environments from now on.  A freeze function is included and captured images can be viewed when convenient.

Reading
The STRIX magnifies 4 – 20 times on an integrated 7” TFT display. It offers a dual reading function: the STRIX can be moved over the text or, using the optional stand, the reading material can be placed beneath the STRIX. In addition to a fullcolour mode (Photo), the STRIX has a black on white mode (Positive) and a white on black mode (Negative).

Writing
With its built-in writing position, the STRIX can be tilted at an angle, facilitating the writing and signing of documents.
